The Process

Chicken Take off the top and bottom of the onion
Chicken Peel the onion (if the skin is brittle, it may be easier if you put the onion into cold water for a minute first)
Chicken Cut the peeled onion into slices
Chicken Half the slices
Chicken And now slice into small bits

4The best way to chop an onion: 1) Chop off the bottom, then halve length ways and peel. 2) On one onion half make several slices from the top end to the bottom, not going all the way through the top end. 3) Slice one or twice, horizontally from the bottom to the top, again not going all the way through. 4) Chop across the onion half, leaving equally diced pieces. 5) Repeat process on other half. Love the pictures.
